Our friends, the Maughans, hosted the party for a bunch of our friends. There were 5 toddlers in total and we had so much fun! They each decorated a box or container (Claire really enjoyed using the glue stick and coloring with a marker all over her container) and then they passed out their Valentines. Claire didn't really get into the whole passing them out part. With my assistance, she got one into a box before running away to play with toys instead. For the Valentines she was passing out, we got this cute idea off of Pinterest. We brought apple juice boxes with a little heart on them that said "You are the apple of my eye!" I bought the juice boxes and I assigned Scott the job of putting them together while I was at work. I think they turned out really cute. I just wish I had gotten a picture of one...
After the passing out of Valentines, we had cupcakes to celebrate one of Claire's friend's birthday, and then they all settled down to watch a movie. It was funny to see them all so engrossed in the movie. :) The Valentine's Day party was so fun and I think Claire really enjoyed it.We left the party and made it home just in time for naps for both me and her. The rest of the day was busy with school, another play date, and just catching up on sleep, so Scott and I decided to celebrate our Valentine's together on Wednesday with a date. My parents watched Claire for us and we were able to go out to eat, see a movie, and get some yogurt. It was wonderful! :)
Holy cuteness! That is so fun!
