moments in white

i know i have a tendency to write more than is ever needed. this is one situation however where pictures leave me speechless. well... nearly.

family gathered from near and far so that we might give our little emily claire a blessing. mom and dad mcclellan were kind enough to open their home to the forty or so of us, allowing us to bless our little angel in white in a personal and intimate setting surrounded by friends and family. it really was a wonderful experience.




she looks so beautiful. a little more like her mother everyday. far too soon she'll be dressed in white once more as she enters the waters of baptism. and far, far too soon she'll again find herself in white and amber and i will have to watch her as she kneels at the altar in the temple. it brings a tear to my eye to think about. at least we have her for the moment. and thank goodness for pictures that leave me speechless... nearly.

Morning Fun

Well we have a baby blessing post still to come but Scott's writing that one, so until then, enjoy these cute videos of Emily I took this morning that I just had to show off! :) She's getting better at lifting her head up when on tummy time, and she just loves that little monkey hanging from the gym. So cute! :)

10 Fun Facts About Our Eclaire

1. Emily is 2 months old now!

2. She weighs 10 lbs 9 oz and is 22 1/2 inches long.

3. She is in the 5oth percentile of everything, so she is your average everyday beautiful baby girl (although she is above average to us!! :)


4. She smiles a lot now and I love it! (And I think I've heard her laugh in her sleep, no joke!)

5. She likes to see what's going on around her and so she likes to sit up against the couch or look over your shoulder. She is getting better and better at lifting her head too.

6. She hates tummy time.


7. She's discovered her tongue, she sticks it out all the time. She tries sucking on her hands and fingers, but usually ends up gagging herself with them so instead of self soothing, it tends to just frustrate her more.

8. She's been sleeping through the night since she was about 4 weeks and the last week and a half she's slept 8 hours straight! (I've been so lucky!)

9. She is definitely spoiled by her parents who can't help but buy her cool toys like the play mat in the picture (she loved it!).


10. She is the most beautiful girl in the world despite her smelly toots ALL the time and we're not biased or anything! ;)
