Two Month Hailey

1. Hailey is two months old!

2. She weighs 11 pounds 11 ounces and is in the 66th percentile.

3. She's 23 and a half inches long as in the 92nd percentile. She's growing so great!

4. Hailey latched on right away and has been nursing pretty well since birth. She nurses for comfort as well as for hunger so she nurses pretty often, hence her nice weight stats. :)

5. Either I've gotten lazy or my babies have gotten needier. She won't sleep well unless I'm holding her or she's laying next to me.  For nights we had bought a little co sleeper bed to put her in, but she prefers to be tucked in right next to me so she can nurse all night long. She's starting to sleep for longer chunks of time though, so we'll have to try putting her in it again. During the day I'll get her to sleep but as soon as I put her down she'll wake up 5-15 minutes later. :P

6. She's got a full head of hair similar to Claire and Caleb. She does not however follow their pattern of liking a pacifier. We've tried a couple different kinds and she will get super mad when I try to give her the paci option. She wants me and nothing else.

7. She is also similar to Everett and Seth in the fact that she's not a big spitter. It's a bit of a relief to me when I don't have to worry about her spitting up large amounts all the time soiling her clothes in just another way. :p

8. Hailey seems to be pretty partial to me. It's been a bit frustrating for both Scott and I. She'll be sound asleep and I'll hand her off to him or someone else to hold, and she seems to know. She'll wake up and cry the same as if I laid her down. We know it'll pass eventually and she'll love to play with Scott probably more than playing with me, but at the moment, she only wants me.

9. We're all adjusting to having Hailey in our lives and in our family. Claire and Everett are busy with school and not as interested, but super helpful when I ask for things. Claire has seemed more grown up lately trying to learn all she can, to be able to babysit eventually.  Seth is always giving her hugs and kisses and getting right up in her face with his funny faces. The change has probably affected Caleb the most. It's been a little rough for him not being the baby anymore. He laughed at her faces at first and said she was cute, but lately he goes between trying to ignore she's there and climbing into my lap anyway (on top of her) or yelling at me to put her down or give her back to daddy. Hopefully, as she grows she'll be more fun and they'll be good friends. :)

10. We love having another little girl around. It's crazy thinking we're a family of SEVEN. Sounds like such a big family, I have no idea how our parents survived! We are so happy to have Hailey in our lives. :)
