for the past couple years we've made our way over, bright and early, to the balloon festival held in provo for independence day. the first year we did it was so much fun, but the past couple years have been a bit of a disappointment. for some reason (we supposed it was because of the strong winds both times) we were not blessed with that spectacular and grand event of a large group of hot air balloons taking flight. one or two went up in the air, but most were blown up then immediately deflated. but we thought we'd give it another try this year, and even got a good group of my family out there to enjoy it with us. well, we got lucky this year and everything went beautifully. it was so much fun. it's just a magical moment watching a child look to the sky, eyes filled with amazement and wonder.
